Growing up in a family that frequently moved across the provinces of Canada, I found solace in our annual summer trips to the secluded, rocky beaches of Vancouver Island. It was there that I first connected with the natural world and realized its profound impact on me, a relationship I still share through my work.

Today, the land remains my greatest muse as I seek to capture and share the essence of what makes Canada’s wilderness unique. My recent works are driven by memories and photographs to encourage the viewer to further connect with their roots. In a world facing a climate crisis, I believe it is more important than ever to appreciate and protect our planet. Rather than dwell on the fear and negativity often accompanying discussions of the environment, I strive to inspire awe and joy in my viewers. By focusing on the beauty of nature and the importance of our connection to it, I hope to spark a renewed appreciation of the world around us.
